Exceedingly rare real-photo postcard capturing the four members of the 1915 World Champion Boston Red Sox infield (L-R): Larry Gardner, Everett Scott, Jack Barry, and Dick Hoblitzell. This is the first example of this postcard we have ever seen and it comes with the special provenance of originating from Dick Hoblitzell's personal collection. The image pictures the four players in uniform as they pose informally together while standing in front of the grandstand. The postcard was once mounted (by means of photo corners) in Hoblitzell's scrapbook and is accompanied by a portion of the original scrapbook page that identifies each player in print. The postcard (5.5x3.5"), which has not been addressed or mailed, displays a tiny edge tear along the base and light creasing (mainly in the white border areas).
