Amazing assortment of circa 1910s-20s photos features Dick Hoblitzell and includes: 3.25x5.5" photo with Honus Wagner dating from 1927, multiple 1915 Red Sox infield photos, and a superb 10x5" photo of Hoblitzell scoring in the World Series. Pencil ID on verso indicates that this picture was from "6th inn. 4th game W.S. Phila vs. Red Sox at Boston;" that dates the image to October 12, 1915, as the Sox won that game and went on to win the Series. Hoblitzell's career was cut short when he was inducted into the US Army in 1918 during World War I; he served as a dentist, earning the nickname, "Doc." Wagner image shows damage from being removed from a scrapbook (pencil ID on back), particularly along the left border. Photos appear to be Type I.
