Beautifully framed is a large color print by M. Knoedler showing Hall of Fame racehorse, Kentucky, standing to the right. Shown also are Leonard Jerome & his coach, with passengers, plus Jerome Park and the bandstand in the background. The print was dedcated to Leonard Jerome. The print image is 31” L x 23 ½” H within the frame of 35” L x 28” W. The original work was painted by the famous equestrian artist, Troye, 1867.
Troye was a highly sought artist at the time known for his accurate portrayals. In fact, he captured the correct saddle sores shown on the animal’s back. The frame and print are in superb, pristine shape.
