Pittsburgh Pirates road jersey worn by outfielder Al Oliver in 1977. The black knit jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "16" on the front and reverse, all of which are applied in gold tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Descente" label, a laundry tag, and an adjacent flag tag reading "Set III 1977." Directly below is a black strip tag with the jersey number, size, and year ("16 40 77") embroidered in gold. Oliver has signed the jersey in black ink (6/10) on the reverse numeral "6." The jersey is all original and displays light-to-moderate wear. Oliver batted .308 with 19 home runs and 82 RBI in 1977. A 7-time All-Star selection and former National League batting champion, Oliver was one of top hitters of his era. In 18 seasons, he batted over .300 on 11 occasions and finished his career with 2,743 hits and a .303 lifetime average.
