Pittsburgh Pirates road jersey worn by infielder Mike Edwards in 1977. The black knit jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "26" on the left breast and reverse. All letters and numerals have been applied in gold tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Descente" label, a laundry tag, and an adjacent flag tag that reads "Set II 1977." Directly below is a black strip tag embroidered in gold bearing the numbers "26 38 77" (denoting the uniform number, size, and year). The jersey is all original and displays light wear. Edwards made his Major League debut with the Pirates on September 10, 1977, and appeared in just seven games with the Pirates. The following season he was traded to the Oakland A's, where he played for three years before leaving the United States to play both in Mexico and Japan.
