Scarce full proof ticket (6.25x1.75") issued for the third and final National League playoff game between the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers at the Polo Grounds in which Bobby Thomson hit his famous "Shot Heard Round the World." Signed by Thomson in blue Sharpie across the front. PSA has encapsulated the ticket, grading the signature GEM MINT 10 and the ticket EX 5. This is one of only two Game 3 proof tickets listed in the PSA Population Report and the only example graded at this level (the other is graded EX-MT 6). The Giants defeated the Dodgers in dramatic fashion in Game 3 of the playoffs, with Bobby Thomson's three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth capping a four-run rally to give the Giants a 5-4 victory. For many fans listening to the game on the radio, they will never forget Russ Hodges' emotional refrain of "The Giants Win the Pennant" repeated over and over as Thomson circled the bases. This is a rare souvenir commemorating that historic game, with the added appeal of having been signed by Thomson. This is a Pop 1 of 1 with ZERO graded higher or lower.
