Whitey Ford 1961-1963 Adirondack signature-model "113A" professional model bat signed by Ford on the sweet spot of the barrel. Ford has signed the bat "To Bill/Whitey Ford" in green ink, with the signature grading 9/10. This bat, which was presumably a Ford game-used bat, was professionally sliced in half lengthwise so that it could more easily function as a wall display. In keeping with that theme, a former owner also commissioned an artist to paint a portrait of Ford on the end of the barrel. The artwork is signed "S. L. Gorman." The bat, which measures 35" in length, displays light use. There are several areas of adhesive residue on the reverse from its having once been mounted, as well as two black-ink signatures (they do not appear to be those of ballplayers). Excellent condition. PSA LOA.
