Original Type I photograph of Hall of Fame shortstop Bobby Wallace as a member of the St. Louis Browns, circa 1912. The closeup image pictures Wallace posing for the camera on the field. Wallace’s name and a numerical notation are written on the reverse in pencil. An etched notation on the negative appears as white lettering along the top border. Based upon the uniform style, this photo was taken between the years 1911 and 1914, which marked the tail end of Wallace’s long 25-year career, most of which was spent with the Browns. The photo measures 3.75x4.75” and displays a few border chips, a crease in the lower right corner, and a photo-processing blemish along the left border. VG.
