A spectacular find in this earliest known Miguel Cabrera game worn jersey, worn in 2000 as a member of the Florida Marlins' Gulf Coast team. Teal specimen has Majestic tag on front with size 48 and handwritten 145 in black marker, mesh button-front with Marlins across the chest. Florida Marlins patch is on left sleeve, name is on a plate on back in black-on-gray tackle twill above his number 40, in black-on-gray-and-white. Photo-matched to Cabrera's 2001 Bowman Heritage #349 rookie with Resolution Photomatching LOA for that match. Also photo-matched to the back of Cabrera's 2002 Bowman #245 rookie; the images for both of these rookies were taken at the same photo shoot, as can be seen by the exact same single batting glove on the left hand, same background and same bat with white tape. Jersey exhibits heavy use with dirt stain on front, loose threads and wear to numbers and letters as Miggy played in 57 games with the Marlins Gulf Coast squad in 2000 before moving to the Majors, where he was a Triple Crown winner, two-time MVP, won four batting titles, and has joined the 500 Home Run club en route to very likely punching a ticket to Cooperstown when his career ends.
