Atlanta Braves home uniform (jersey and pants) worn by Hall of Fame third baseman Chipper Jones during his 1999 MVP Season. The white knit jersey is lettered Braves across the front, below which is the team's Tomahawk logo. The number "10" and the name "Jones" appear on the reverse. All front letters and numerals are applied in red on black tackle twill. The reverse letters are applied in black tackle twill upon a white nameplate. Located on the left front tail are "Wilson" exclusivity label, an adjacent "46" size tag, and a white strip tag bearing the set number, uniform number and year ("1 10 99") stitched in black. A "Hank Aaron 715" 25th Anniversary patch is on the left sleeve. Jones has inscribed the jersey "Chipper Jones 10" in black marker ("7") on the reverse numeral "0." The matching white pants feature both a Wilson label and 32 size tag in the waistband, along with a white strip tag bearing the set number, uniform number and year ("1 10 99") stitched in black. Both the jersey and pants display light-to-moderate wear. The left front leg of the pants has two large team repairs (one on the front, the other on the reverse) as well as a few light stains. Light staining is evident upon the right shoulder of the jersey.

One of the premier players of his era, Jones enjoyed perhaps his finest overall season in 1999, batting .319 with a career-high 45 home runs and 110 RBI as he helped lead the Braves to the National League pennant. Those numbers later earned him the National League MVP Award at season's end. An eight-time All-Star and former National League batting champion, Jones retired after the the 2012 season with 468 home runs, 1,623 RBI, and a .303 lifetime average. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018, his first year of eligibility. This is an outstanding Chipper Jones full uniform dating from one of the most memorable seasons of his long and illustrious career.
