Government postcard signed on the reverse in black ink by Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young. PSA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature MINT 9. Postmarked from Newcomerstown, Ohio, on September 20, 1948. Despite the fact that Young was 81 years old at the time, no one would have been able to tell based upon his handwriting. Young's flowing signature is beautifully rendered and contrasts extremely well against the light background. It is also notable for its size. Measuring 4.5 inches long, it commands nearly the entire length of the card. The postcard (5.5x3.25") displays a small area of adhesive residue on the front and a few light creases. Very Good condition.
