Government postcard signed by Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner. PSA has encapsulated the postcard and certified the signature as "Authentic." Wagner's signature has been scripted in black ink on the reverse and grades 9/10. Postmarked from Wagner's hometown of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, on August 19, 1949. Wagner, who was 75 years old at the time, was a coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1949. The club hosted the Cardinals on August 19th, but obviously Wagner took the time to honor this autograph request before heading out to the park that afternoon. The postcard (5.5x3.5") displays a small adhesive remnant on the front and few light creases. Very Good condition.
