Selection of five (5) postcards and prints by Charles Dana Gibson, of "Gibson Girls" fame. Starting in the late 1900s, Gibson took to compiling pen-and-ink illustrations of women he considered to be the personification of feminine attractiveness. In the images offered here, he shifts his study not just to baseball, but specifically the fanatic fans. 1) "The Eleventh Inning" depicts four gents clearly taking in an exciting extra-innings contest.
