Of all of the basketball rookie cards, this is the grand daddy of them all. The card itself is a nice looking example with bright colors and almost perfect centering. Although it is crease free, it exhibits a Very Good appearance. Toning to the borders and light rounding to each corner. The back is very clean. Now to the great part, the autograph. The signature on the front of this card was obtained in-person by a New York City autograph hound. The blue ballpoint pen that it was signed in is as perfect as the day it was signed back in the 1970's. It is so nice that PSA has rated it a MINT 9. We can't stress the scarcity of this enough. This has been a valuable card for decades now and collectors have been hesitant to have it signed. With Mikan's passing years ago, combined with the fact that this is a scarce card makes it a toughie that is on most signed rookie card collector's want lists.
