Beautiful John Stallworth jersey dating to his 1974 rookie season, very likely his first pro jersey. It has the Honus Wagner Sporting Goods tag in the tail which was used up to 1972, but as was common with the Steeelers, jerseys were kept from season to season and this was either a blank from the early 1970s or was a number 82 jersey from the prior year or two and was lettered up for Stallworth when he was drafted. The black size 44 Sand Knit jersey bears the wide receiver's number in white on front, back, and sleeves, with his name in yellow numbers on a black nameplate. Shows terrific use with several team repairs, indicative of the wear and tear that went into Pittsburgh winning its first Super Bowl in that season. Sourced directly from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Never before has a major sports franchise opened its team archives going back nearly a century. Let alone a franchise as historic as the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Founded in 1933 by Art Rooney Sr., the Rooney Family imprint remains to this day.  From the glory of the Steel Curtain to an NFL-best six Lombardi trophies, the Pittsburgh Steelers name defines excellence and winning.  We present the latest offering of “The Pittsburgh Steelers Archive of Exceptional Jerseys.” For decades, the Pittsburgh Steelers have guarded and saved their own equipment, thereby creating a huge void in the sports marketplace.  As a result, the Pittsburgh Steelers have become the crème de la crème. The rarest and most sought after game equipment of any National Football League team.  We were not there in 1922 when they first opened King Tut’s Tomb or discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls.  But now, perhaps we all know a bit about how that felt. All items will come with a letter of authenticity from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Lelands.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives Jerseys will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
