From the collection of boxing historian and collector Dwight Hott, this black satin robe with purple trim was worn by World Middleweight Champion Tony Zale during his career, circa 1940s. Back has Zale's full name, circa 1940s manufacturing tag in neck for "G&S Sporting Goods," the robe shows heavy wear with holes on the back with staining on back nameplate. In addition to his two title reigns, Zale is also remembered for his three epic bouts with Rocky Graciano, the first of which was held in Yankee Stadium in 1946, with Zale winning two of the three.
