Game worn Toledo Mud Hens uniform attributed to George Stovall and Steve Evans, both of whom are featured in the legendary T206 series. Stovall played one season with the Mud Hens in 1916 while Evans was on the team in 1916 and 1917. Jersey has "Toledo" nameplate on front with no number on back, Spalding tag in neck and "Extra 15" embroidered on back tail. Pants show tremendous use with a half dozen team repairs and "Stoval" embroidered along with "Spalding" tag in waist. Handwritten "Evans" inside pants on inner pocket; it is possible that Stoval wore the uniform in 1916 and then Evans in 1917. Purchased at an estate sale in Michigan, about an hour away from Toledo, from a family who had ties with the American Association in the early 1900s.
