The five-time Stanley Cup champion and three-time league MVP is on the first tier of all-time hockey greats while being blessed with a following that few other athletes enjoy. An imposing physical presence at 6-4, 230-pounds, Super Mario redefined the center position by out-skating and out-faking much smaller opponents.
On offer here is a Lemieux home gamer from one of his finest campaigns. White knit with gold and black trim has the team crest sewn over the chest in a diecut textured twill. Number "66" appears on the sleeves and "Lemieux 66" is on the verso, all sewn-on in black and gold tackle twill. Best of all is the Stanley Cup 100th Anniversary patch on the right chest and a captain's "C" on the left chest.
Collar tagging includes "Maska" with "66 C" in vintage black marker and a size "54" flap tag. Exhibits light but definite wear with stick marks, pilling, and fraying to the identifiers. For the 1992-93 season, Lemieux was the leading scoring in the NHL and the league MVP.
