Right at the end of the 1925 season, The Big Train, (on right) the AL MVP in 1924, shakes hands with fellow Washington Senator Roger Peckinpaugh, the '25 MVP. Johnson went 23-7 with a 2.72 ERA to take the '24 MVP as he led Washington to a World Championship. Shortstop Pechinpaugh hit .294 in helping the Senators to the '25 pennant, but really won the award with his superb defense. Incidentally, Roger is a cousin of famed movie director and screenwriter Sam Peckinpah (the last name became shortened) who achieved fame with "The Wild Bunch." Measures 6x8".
