Fascinating set of 56 heavy mounted photos which were typical of the type that huge in boxing gyms and venues of the period. Each measures approximately 20x30" and shows a top fighter of the era with his name below: Henry Hendricks, Nick Newman, Young Carman, Al Crisp, Bob Collins, Francis Burke, Carl Baird, Jimmy Belli, George Adams, Billie Alger, and others. One of the photographs is marked with the name of the famed Olympic Club in San Francisco. The photo of Francis Burke reads, "Olympic Club National Amateur Lightweight Champ." So there is a possibility that they are sourced from this famed establishment, but we have no further proof.
