Nice rare find. When Jackie Robinson played in his first official game for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947, his appearance was a seminal event in American history. The 2013 movie "42" was a successful picture produced by Legendary Pictures that was essentially faithful to the facts of Robinson's breaking of 'the color line" in major league baseball. Playing Robinson in the movie was Chadwick Boseman, and this is a away jersey that he wore while filming the movie. It differs from an actual Dodger jersey of the time in that it has a zipper in front rather than the standard buttons. It is autographed by Rachel Robinson, Jackie Robinson's wife and an adviser to this movie.
