Dating from the first season of the legendary Hall of Fame slugger Ken Griffey Jr. comes this tremendous Cooper Pro 100 C271 model game used bat with a great story. This lumber sources from ex-Detroit Red Wings star Robert Picard and he obtained this bat himself from Griffey Jr. during a 4-game Mariners vs. Tigers series in 1989. The only 4-game series in Detroit against the Mariners in 1989 was July 13-16 and Griffey went 6 for 18 with 4RBIs in that series. Bat itself is an un-cracked C271 Cooper model measuring 34" and weighing 31.8 ounces. The knob features a handwritten "Bone", indicating that it may have also been used by Griffey's teammate Jay "The Bone" Buhner. There is also a distinct thick tape job on the handle that has been style matched to other Griffey Jr rookie bats. Comes with copy of the receipt from Robert Picard Sports and has PSA letter is included.
