Amazing piece of Fenway lore. In baseball talk, teams that score more than zero or one run are said to, "Hang a crooked number on the scoreboard". What could be better for any baseball aficionado than to possess not one, but two, actual crooked numbers. And not just any crooked numbers, but ones that had really would hang from iconic scoreboard at the baseball cathedral called Fenway Park. These yellow numbers were only used during the actual half-inning and taken down at the end of the half-inning, so these are much rarer than the white numbered version which remained in place during the game for each half-inning. The numbers are on metal (13"x 16") and hand-painted in yellow on a background of hand-painted Fenway green. There is a "3" on one side and a "4" on the other. Dates way back to the Ted Williams years (when left-fielder Williams used to sometimes hang out within the scoreboard when he was unlikely to bat in the next half-inning). These scoreboard numbers were used for many seasons. Good condition;bending at the corners and usage marks with some scratches consistent with the numerous seasons of use. From person who used to work on the Fenway grounds crew
