Evoking images of leather helmets and traveling by rail cars, this spectacular vintage steamer trunk was used to carry equipment and jerseys until just recently. It measures a hefty 44” long, 27” high and 26” deep, shows a ton of use, and in bright yellow stenciling on the top of lid is “PITTSBURGH STEELERS FOOTBALL CLUB.” Metal clasps remain intact and cloth tape is wrapped around the handles on each side to facilitate carrying, and while it does show the wear and tear of generations of use with some repairs, it still appears sturdy and functional to this day. It is marked in sharpie "center field" on duct tape and has two number "13" on the top and front. Each side panel is also adorned with a yellow stenciled football, and although it may look black, the trunk is actually a dark shade of green. One of best team trunks we have handled. The worn and rugged, vintage Pittsburgh Steelers duffle bag was likely used circa the 1960's and 70's. The faded black canvas displays the "Pittsburgh Steelers" in gold font on each end, and has a plastic insert for identification on one side. This spacious bag has a chic, distressed look, likely not by design, and is a fabulous addition to the collection of any Steelers enthusiast. All items come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
