Wonderful piece of American folk art features hand-painted lettering on black canvas. This went at the top of the "rolling signs" on subway trains and trolleys. Best of all stops include "Yankee Stadium" as well as other locals with "Hunts Point" at bottom. Stops are also hand-painted on the verso which can be seen as the backing of the frame is transparent. Overall 53x22" framed. Circa 1923 piece from the opening of Yankee Stadium.
