This prize dates from the early 1960s prime of Hall of Fame outfielder Roberto Clemente. The Pirates' star used H&B bats and also Adirondacks throughout his career, and this 35" model is a wonderful example of a game used Adirondack. It is uncracked and shows moderate use with ball marks and seam impressions on the left side of the barrel and spike marks also on the back of the barrel. Model 113A is stamped on the knob and "21" is in vintage green marker also on the knob. Since Roberto did not have a contract with Adirondack, his last name appears in block letters on the barrel.
