This historical appearance on the Tonight Show was a preview for the Muhammad Ali vs. Ken Norton III bout. Perfect crisp images show Ali with Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon during a simulated weigh-in on television on The Tonight Show at NBC TV Studios on September 7, 1973. Lot includes five consecutive black and white 35mm camera negatives of the simulated weigh-in of Ali and Norton. The original negatives and images in this collection are by the personal photographer of Ali's manager Herbert Muhammad. Unpublished, they have not seen the light of day for five decades. Recently discovered, they come with the photographer’s rights. All of the negs/transparencies are unique, “Type I” images that can be used to make prints and products of the finest quality and huge scale.
