Combinations of historic figures pictured together at either important events or doing ordinary things is one of the aspects that makes candid photography so desirable. This 2.25" series of negatives includes three legendary sports heroes, "The Greatest" Muhammad Ali, NFL Football superstar Jim Brown and Joe Louis, considered to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. In a formal setting, possibly an athletic awards dinner during the mid 1960s, this 2.25" negative series also includes Muhammad Ali's Manager, Herbert Muhammad. Consisting of four from-the-camera consecutive black and white negatives and the matching contact prints, from the period thus, Type I and measuring 2.25x9.5", in NM-MT condition.
The original negatives and images in this collection are by the personal photographer of Ali's manager Herbert Muhammad. Unpublished, they have not seen the light of day for five decades. Recently discovered, they come with the photographer’s rights. All of the negs/transparencies are unique, “Type I” images that can be used to make prints and products of the finest quality and huge scale.
