A creative and clever piece, this circa 1902 horseshoe from Bee Catcher has been made into an inkwell. The delicate hinged top reads "Bee Catcher, Property of John Walbot Esq." and the circumference of the top reads "Winner of The United Hunt Steeplechase at Oaksey and The Maunsell Steeplechase at Bridgwater 1902. Killed in the Kimberley Steeplechase as Nottingham May 26th 1902. Trained by W.A. Villar" The shoe is actually attached to a hoof on the bottom of the display and the whole item is in EX condition considering its age.
