Extensive collection of unique entry badges to various racetracks throughout the United States. Primarily large cardboard badges, allowed full admittance to different areas (some complimentary) of the racetrack. Most interesting is a Belmont collection of three Westchester Racing, the first being a 1918 grandstand and paddock ticket which includes Sir Barton who was the first Triple Crown Winner in 1919, an employee pass from 1922 signed by famous author and handicapper W.S. Vosburgh, and a trainer badge from 1907 spring. There are four significant Washington Park badges, all representing wins in the famous American Derby, from 1886, 1893, 1904 and 1934. Extremely difficult to find passes for Triple Crown winners include a 1942 Queen's County owner's badge, featuring Count Fleet, a spring 1947 Maryland guest owner and trainer pass featuring Citation, and a Havre De Grace 1947 badge with all 25 tickets intact for Citation's first and third starts. Plus, three Brighton Beach: 1903 owner's, 1904 grandstand and 1907 trainer's paddock. Also, 1876 South Carolina quarter stretch grandstand badge, 1890 Morris Park, and 1903 Brooklyn Jockey Club. All have strings attached and are very colorful, pristine, about 3x2", heavy stock and average EX-MT.
