Gaylord Perry made history on September 17, 1968, when he threw a no-hitter against the Cardinals at Candlestick Park as his Giants won a crisp 1-0 game. Perry threw this official National League (Giles) baseball to Curt Flood, who struck out looking for the final out of the game, making this a historically significant piece of memorabilia. Perry wrote in his own hand on a side panel: "St. Louis-0, Giants-1, 9/17/68 No Hitter" and it was also signed by 10 of Perry's Giants teammates, including Willie Mays and Willie McCovey. The ball shows nice use.
