The 1938 Cincinnati ballclub featured many of the same stars who populated the 1939 and 1940 Championship Redlegs teams, and this official National League (Frick) baseball is very clean, featuring 28 signatures in black fountain ink averaging 6/10. Included among them are: Hershberger, Riggs, Lombardi, Walters, Roush, Vander Meer, Berger, Mike and Frank McCormick, Gowdy, McKechnie, Goodman and more. This was the very same year Johnny Vander Meer pitched his back-to-back no-hitters, a feat that has never been matched. This special ball is in EX-MT to NRMT condition.
