Offered here is an original boxing silk issued in 1898 to commemorate Pedlar Palmer's TKO in round 17 over Billy Plimmer on December 12, in defense of his World Bantamweight title. Issued on behalf of one of the great British world champions, this is an original boxing silk made of silk fabric, which pictures the colors and flags of the fighters. Comes in an open frame, it has one small tear, but is otherwise fine. Color is slightly faded, but image, colors in corners and print are all perfectly visible, and it measures 25x28.5". Silks of any fighter are rare and sought after, this version is very seldom seen.
