This extremely rare and graphic poster advertised the series of post-War Japan games featuring the storied San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League. Marvelous graphics features a giant batter taking a Joe DiMaggio-like stance, a literal superman straddling the stadium. This was a major PR move organized by Lefty O'Doul (he even played!) only four years after the brutality of WWII and Hiroshima and still in the hotbed of the Korean conflict. Even General Douglas MacArthur was interested in the games. Game schedules are shown among the strikingly unified design of the Rising Sun and American flags. Measures 12x20".
