This jersey was worn by one of the greatest offensive tackles ever, 6-foot-9 Bob "The Geek" St. Clair. Incredibly, the Kezar Stadium playing field was renamed Bob St. Clair Field in 2001. A great college All-American, St. Clair starred with the 49ers from 1953-64, and this jersey was worn by him during the 1962 season. Heavy dureen, long sleeve jersey features the five-time Pro Bowler's number "79" on both sleeves in white tackle twill. A "Wilson Sporting Goods" manufacturer's tag displays his jersey's size "50," and is sewn at the lower left on the front side. This excellent example of a vintage jersey, with its long 3/4 sleeve design and reinforced elbows, shows moderate wear and team repairs are evident along the shoulders and near the bottom on the front side. The jersey is inscribed "Bob St Clair HOF 1990." The jersey has been graded A10 by MEARS and comes with their letter, and also comes with a photo (shown here) of St.Clair with the jersey.
