The founding owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Art Rooney signed each of these six official footballs, each of which was addressed to Harold and Helen Weissman. They are all signed in black marker and inscribed: Pittsburgh Steelers Football Club Super Bowl Champions 1974-1975-1978-1979 or some variation of that, such as the 1976 ball that bears the inscription: Super Bowl champions 1974, 1975 and Conference Champions 1976. The signatures range from 5-10 out of 10. There is one each from 1976, 1981, 1983, 1986, 1987 and 1988 - the year Rooney died. Some of the balls appear to have fallen victim to deflate-gate as they have lost some air over the years.
