Lost in the Fog, the 2005 Eclipse Award-winning sprinter and arguably most popular horse to come out of Northern California since Seabiscuit, began his magnificent career with 10 straight victories before suffering his first loss in the Breeders' Cup Sprint. As a 4-year-old in 2006, Lost in the Fog won once, taking the Aristides Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III) at Churchill Downs in June. It was later learned that the "Fog" had been racing with three cancerous tumors in his spleen and along his back. For his career, he captured 11 of 14 starts and earned $978,099. This set of purple saddle cloths with white lettering and Breeders' Cup logo includes both his 2005 Breeders' Cup Sprint race-worn cloth and his exercise cloth that he wore in the workouts leading up to the big race.
