Yogi Berra remains one of the game's greatest characters, but behind the genuine humility and unforgettable one-liners, the Hall of Fame catcher was a perennial All-Star catcher who could drive just about any pitch thrown to him. This Hillerich & Bradsby R43 Model bat with #8 on the knob belonged to Yogi comes from his heyday of the 1950s and shows light use, including a few blue rack marks and ball impressions. It measures just shy of 35", weighs 33 ounces and is signed twice on the barrel with multiple inscriptions. Berra - who played nearly his entire 19-year major league career with the Yankees - is one of four American Leaguers ever to capture three Most Valuable Player awards. And if you count his later days as manager and coach, he has been a part of 21 pennant-winning clubs, earning three World Series championships along the way. In 1998, the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, as well as the minor league Yogi Berra Stadium opened on the campus of Montclair State University in New Jersey, where the legend currently resides.
