Before the Minnesota North Stars moved from Minneapolis to the Metroplex in 1993, Dallas had three previous professional hockey teams. The longest-standing of those was the minor-league Black Hawks, who played in the Central Hockey League between 1967 and 1982. In the club's fifth season, the Hawks won four Adams Cup championships in the CHL, the second one coming in 1972. From that season came this real ring presented to someone who was not a player named Bailey. The 10 Karat gold, size 8.5 ring by Balfour showcases 48 points of real rubies on the top and is in NRMT condition. Surrounding the stones is the wording: "CHL CHAMPIONS BLACK HAWKS." with a logo similar to that of the NHL's Chicago Black Hawks in the center. The left shank features the Adams Cup trophy and "BAILEY" while the right shank reads: "DALLAS" with two tomahawks crossing a giant "D." The first minor league hockey team in Dallas was the Texans back in the 1940s. The last was the Freeze, which existed the one year prior to the Stars coming to town. LOA.
