The 1908 Yale football team compiled an excellent 7-1-1 record. Just as spectacular is this navy blue Spalding sweater that was worn by those from the class of '08. The turtle-neck pull-over is tagged in the tail and features the 1908 class year woven into the chest in white. There are small holes from use and some color bleed on the bottom, but is still of high quality. It was discovered in Southern Connecticut and is very similar to others that can be seen in Yale Team photos during that time period. Members of that class were treated to gridiron success that was unparalleled in school history, winning 35 of 36 games during the period of 2005-08, with the lone loss coming in 2008 to arch-rival Harvard.
