This OAL (Mac Phail) sphere was fired to second base by the Yankee catcher the day before he was to perish in a fiery plane crash. It was August 1, 1979, and Chicago White Sox shortstop Greg Pryor made a two-out dash to second, where he was gunned down by Munson's powerful arm. Rather than flipping the ball to the umpire, Pryor tossed it to Munson and asked if he would sign it for him. The ball was waiting for Pryor in the clubhouse at the end of the game, signed by not only Munson, but eight other Yanks as well with names like Guidry, Jackson, Randolph and Chambliss. Ball shows great use, and the signatures are all NRMT. Two LOA's explain the story and the line of ownership. Will you be the next owner?
