After his somewhat pedestrian ten-year playing career came to a close, Art Fowler joined the coaching ranks, where he made his mark. As a close friend of Billy Martin, the pitching coach followed much of the fiery helmsman's journeys, but a key stop was in the Big Apple, where Ron Guidry captured the 1978 Cy Young Award in leading his team to the championship. This ring was awarded to Fowler and like the team that won the crown, it's the real deal. This size 10 ring features a real diamond set in a baseball diamond on a deep blue background, surrounded by the words World Champions. The right shank has Fowler's name above the year and interlocking Yankee "NY" with the right sporting the Stadium facade above the Yankee bat logo and the championship trophy. It is stamped inside "14K LGB," as well as "Greatest Comeback In History" as the Bombers swept the LA Dodgers after dropping the first two games of the series. EX-MT condition.
