1976 was a significant year for both MLB and the Oakland A's as it marked the beginning of free-agency and the end of the A's dynasty. Here we have a nice set of A's jerseys from this season of change. 1) 1976 Joe Rudi green jersey is all original with 1976 patch on the left sleeve. McAuliffe size 44 and 1976 tagging on the front tail. Nice use with name sewn on back. Signed (bleed) on the back and he has notated "Last A's Shirt". 2) 1976 Willie McCovey yellow jersey has name and "44" on the back. The number on the back was changed but the name is original. Knowing that McCovey was there for only part of the season and the A's were notoriously cheap, they most likely took an already numbered jersey and changed it to his "44". Signed on the front with McAuliffe size 44 and 1976 tagging on the front tail. 1976 patch on the left sleeve. Originally from the Dick Dobbins collection. 3) 1976 Mike Torrez yellow jersey shows nice use and has the name on the back. All original with McAuliffe size 46 and 1976 tagging on the front tail. Signed and personalized on the front. 4) 1979 Billy Williams green jersey was not game worn. This is a vintage replica made for display and has proper tagging, numbers, and lettering. Williams was not with the A's in 1979.
