This beautifully framed, matted photograph of Jerome Herman "Dizzy" Dean is an Associated Press shot of the famed hurler during his days with the Chicago Cubs. The photo itself measures 5x7" but with matte, signature card and frame it stands at 12x16" A square on the reverse identifies the photo as being from AP and taken on September 29, 1938, labeled as "World Series Preparedness." Dean was the starter and loser of Game 2 of that year's series, won by the New York Yankees in four straight. The signature on the card is in black ink and is 9/10, the overall item is in EX condition.
