Relief ace Rollie Fingers wore this Oakland Athletics home vest-style jersey during 1969, his first full season in the major leagues. Several years before the appearance of his trademark handlebar moustache, Fingers started eight games for the A’s in 1969 as well as making numerous relief appearances as the Athletics finished the season in second place in the AL West. Although the team's "A" logo on the front has been restored, this flannel jersey has all its original numbering, with Fingers' #34 on the front and back in green and gold. Trim and buttons are all intact. McAuliffe size 42 tag with "69" year tag on front left tail. The jersey was sent to the minor leagues at some point, explaining the name "Harrell" written in marker inside the left front yoke. As Alvin Dark once said, you need "faith in God above and Rollie Fingers in the bullpen."
