Remarkable paper poster advertises the famed "Base Ball Elephants." Performing at the "Sparks 3-Ring Circus" in Elmira, New York. The image of the elephants playing ball is incredible. They are shown on the diamond with period equipment including spider catcher's masks and early flop caps. Reads, "This act when presented in New York City last winter was the most talked of act at the metropolis." Double-sided, it measures 27.5x10.5" and is the only one known to exist. There is a color version if this poster that sells for well into the five figures. Excellent condition.
