One of the first and most unusual pieces of baseball merchandising. Wood handled & metal saw made with the Harry Stovey name by a local tool company. Remarkable 4.5" tall image of Stovey is engraved right into the saw. To the left, "The Brady Finish and Utility…The Saw Cannot Be Excelled…HARRY D. SAW" (a bit difficult to read). To the left is the City of Philadelphia keystone logo, the baseball city where he made his name. 29" long. Ex-Barry Halper Collection. The gentlemanly Stovey was a speedy merchant with a killer arm. The first to wear sliding pads, he led the league in homers six times.
