On September 7, 1908 World Middleweight Champion Stanley Ketchel lost his title to Billy Papke when he was stopped in the 12th round. A rematch was set for November 26, 1908 at the Mission Street Arena in Colma, California under the promotion of "Sunny" Jim Coffroth. This time Ketchel reversed his fortune stopping Papke in the 11th round to regain the title. Presented here is an extraordinary photo album that was presented to Jim Coffroth by men of the press and the photographer for the fight, the notable Percy Dana. Offered here is the book which contains 20 original first generation action photographs from the fight. All but one are 6" x 8" and are generally, clean with crisp images. The book is inscribed in gold inlay on the first page, "To Jim from the Newspaper Boys and Dana Dec. 1908." Extraordinarily rare with a number of photographs which have not been seen before at public sale.
