Unsigned items include JFK Funeral Card with envelope and 1898 Mutual Life remittance on President Taft. Fine condition with bold signatures. Most importantly are two General Winfield Scott letters about gathering intelligence of possible Indian attacks on the western frontier. Both are to General Brady. In the 1838 letter he instructs him to report on "all recent & apprehended events which may be interesting to the service." In the 1839 he discusses the $500,000 Congress appropriated for "the protection of the northwestern frontier." Signatures are a strong 7/10 and have stood up over the test of time.
