The most glamorous event in Hollywood continues to grow exponentially in popularity each year, but in terms of genuine star power many would agree the cast on hand for the 22nd annual ceremony represented the peak of silver screen mystique. The list included names such as Ralph Edwards, Frank Sinatra, Bette Davis, Peter Langford, Mel Blanc, June Allyson, Gene Kelly, Eddie Cantor, Clark Gable, Jane Powell, Eleanor Parker, Danny Kaye, Gary Cooper, Kathrine Hepburn, Erol Flynn, Joan Crawford, Ronald Reagan, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Doris Day, and Mary Pickford. Each has left their signature upon the pages of this beautiful leather bound, gold embossed autograph book along with those of forty-eight others who were in attendance that evening (67 total). Just as overwhelming as the sheer number is the quality of these examples, the vast majority are written in blue grease pencil and conservatively grade an astonishing 8-9/10. EX-EX+, would best descibe the condition of the book itself whose inner pages have remained clean and overall NRMT. Signed by all that night of March 23, 1950 at the RKO Pantages Theatre, this truly outstanding piece, originally intended for a youth organization in Winnipeg, is one of the finest groupings autographs from Tinsel Town's brightest extant.
